Welcome to General Chemistry (CH111) at Loras College. This course is part of a two semester sequence with CH112 and covers the fundamental principles of chemistry. Major topics in CH111 include: stoichiometry, energy, atomic structure, bonding, nuclear chemistry, gases, solids, and solutions. This is a 4 credit course composed of three weekly lectures, a weekly lab 3 hour lab. Prerequisites for this course are high school mathematics including algebra as well as basic science.
